God's Grace

In recent studies I have found an amazing thing. There are things we believe because we feel their effects on our lives but cannot see them, touch them, or taste them. Some things we know but cannot understand them. For instance, light can be bent, focused, and directed and affected by gravity. But as I think of those things I come back to gravity. That is a force I truly appreciate. Without gravity we would just spin off into space. It affects everything we do. Without gravity we could not survive for long. Humans that spend extended stays in space find their bodies breaking down. It is a powerful force to break free. I like to think God explained that well to Job when He asked Job where he was when He placed the things, when He set the stars and the sun, the moon, and the earth in their place. I happen to believe God knew what he was doing when he said in Genesis 1:1 that “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” Now I can look around and see the handiwork of God. And I have the witness of hundreds that saw the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and who witnessed his resurrection. I have His word to study and embrace, I have the witness of the Holy Spirit in my life, and it creates a saving grace in my heart. The grace of God has touched me. I cannot see, but my mind, soul, and heart are truly a result of the Lord grace, that I cannot see but know he loves me beyond measure. “For by grace are you saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift.” Ephesians 2:8
